Sam’s Journey

Samuel, often known simply as Sam, embodies the resilience and tenacity it takes to transform setbacks into comebacks. As a serial entrepreneur, he’s no stranger to the art of business; his entrepreneurial journey began at the age of 12, mowing lawns and delivering newspapers. Over the years, his relentless drive led him to build two seven-figure companies before turning 35. However, life wasn’t always a smooth sail. A period of unchecked alcoholism and poor financial management took a toll on his personal life and business empire, bringing him to the lowest point in his life.

Drawing from his profound experiences in overcoming alcoholism and rebuilding from scratch, Sam now dedicates himself to helping other entrepreneurs build resilient businesses. Committed to leaving the world better than he found it, Sam is your go-to authority for business strategy, recovery, and sustainable success.

Today, Sam celebrates over six years of sobriety and has painstakingly rebuilt his life and career on a foundation of ethical stewardship and strategic focus. This transformative journey has ignited Sam’s passion for guiding other business leaders through the complexities and pitfalls of entrepreneurship.

In 2020, as the world grappled with unforeseen challenges, Sam took it upon himself to fulfill his innate desire to educate and inspire. He openly shares his life lessons and business failures, empowering others to break free from the shackles of addiction and personal setbacks.

But Sam is not just a business virtuoso; he’s also a classically trained musician. Having studied drumming throughout his childhood in England, he later toured with various bands across the U.S., further enriching his already diverse skill set.
His musical background complements his role as a Fractional CMO, consultant, and founder of a digital marketing agency that specializes in content creation, lead generation, and revenue building for local brands.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Sam is a lifelong learner who believes that staying ahead of the curve requires constant education. This is why he frequently attends conferences, workshops, and seminars in various industries, ensuring he remains at the forefront of innovation and strategy, and is currently pursuing a Master’s Certification in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Data Science from the prestigious McCombs Business School at the University of Austin.
This advanced training positions him at the intersection of technology and business strategy, equipping him with the tools to leverage data-driven insights for optimized decision-making.

Sam also knows that a well-rounded life is the key to lasting success; he “maintains a disciplined fitness routine” with the correct balance of cake and ice cream, to stay mentally sharp and physically ok.
If he didn’t work out, he wouldn’t be able to eat as much cake, but if he didn’t eat cake he wouldn’t have to work out so hard. It’s a never ending battle for all of us with a love of cake 🍰

Family is the cornerstone of Sam's life.

As a dedicated father to his four sons and a loving partner to his fiancée, Nina, he cherishes the moments of joy and challenges that come with parenthood and partnership, no – really. An endless battle of dishes and laundry, Nina and Sam are anxious for the days when the kids can load the dishwasher and do their own chores, but for now they must suffer in silence, like the parents of all young boys…

One of Sam’s most impactful platforms is his podcast, “The Small Business Surgeon.” Here, he delves into the nitty-gritty details of entrepreneurship, leadership, and personal development with experts across various industries. The podcast is more than just a series of interviews; it’s a resource hub designed to dissect the complexities of business, much like a surgeon would with a patient. By sharing real-life stories, actionable strategies, and invaluable lessons, Sam offers a lifeline to business owners seeking to elevate their operations and lives. It’s an extension of his coaching and consulting work, reaffirming his commitment to helping entrepreneurs build resilient and successful businesses.

TV Appearance

In Summer of 2023, Sam and Nina were selected from an application pool of over 50,000 business owners and entrepreneurs to appear on the most watched show on entrepreneurship on the planet – The BLOX. Stay tuned for updates, their season airs in early 2024, we can’t say how they did until it airs, but they were fortunate enough to get a main character arc in the series and we’re all extremely excited for the show to air.
